I admit, I’m not a fan of extra technology where it is not needed. I bought this faucet for two reasons.: beautiful design, and my regular plumber advised to get something higher end for the quality.I am giving this a five star rating, even though I never tried the smart touch feature. Why? Because, if you are like me, you can disconnect the feature you don’t want and still have a great fixture. I bought this faucet, knowing it has a small flaw on the side facing the wall. It’s not visible. I paid about a third of MSRP and I decided not to connect the Smart touch feature. The model without smart touch was not part of the deal. After looking at the manufacturer instructions online, I realized it would be no big deal if I just didn’t connect it and installed the faucet as is. Now I have this beautiful new faucet that upgrades the look of my kitchen and the functionality of my sink for about as much money as purchasing something random from Home Depot.Now, would I have paid over $1000 for this thing? No, not in my budget, and I would want the smart touch feature to work if I had. But I wanted to come here and leave a positive review because it’s a lovely fixture if you can get a deal on one. And if you don’t like your smart touch faucet and you can’t replace it right now, you can have it disconnected, or you can do it yourself.
