Bamboo Spurtles Kitchen Tools - 4-Piece Cookware Set for Ninja Foodi & Instant Pot - Wooden Utensils for Cooking, Stirring, and Serving - Perfect for Soups, Stews, and Sauteing

(This was my first review: I love this set of wooden spurtles! I also love my Ninja Foodi and my Instant Pot, and these wooden tools keep them both from scratches caused by metal implements. They are also very beautiful and easy to clean and store, too. I just love them!)Two years later....Do NOT wash these in the dishwasher!! Very germ conscious, I use my dishwasher almost exclusively but learned the hard way not to wash these tools in it. I figured bamboo is tremendously strong, so the glue used must also be very strong. Well, even if it is strong, it will not hold up to the dishwasher. As you can see by my photos, the handle is coming apart and one of the side slats fell off of the paddle. Oh well.I still love them and use them and fortunately this only happened to one of them (the smallest one). I am just passing along some good advice is all. Just beware....These are very comfortable to use (I have arthritis in both hands and there is no discomfort using these utensils). I also have more than a dozen other wooden utensils, and since I received these, I hardly use the others. I make sure I wash them and dry them as soon a I am finished using them, and "DO NOT SOAK THEM IN WATER" for any length of time other than the duration of cleaning. I also purchased the "Danish Dough whisk" and that is another item I use o a regular basis, not only for "dough" either,...I whisk/stir anything I can use it for. I noticed one of the comments mentioned her bamboo tools she was using. I quickly headed to Amazon to check them out! I love wooden spoons, cutting boards, bowls, etc and fell in love with this set! I bought it for my husband's birthday who is the cook in our house. In fact, they arrived yesterday and we used them today. These are so versatile, that I dumped all my old wooden spoons and only will use these. They are so unusual and stylish which is hard to do with wooden spoons! I will be buying these for Christmas presents for friends - they are THAT awesome! They are super easy to clean and very smooth to the touch. These will be great gifts for those hard to buy people. Oh, and the little pouch they come in is AWESOME and will be used as my flat iron travel pouch! Stylish, yet versatile!After reading all the other reviews, I gave in and bought a set and was so excited to finally receive. Unfortunately, the slotted "spoon" was chipped and now I will need to return. Hopefully, the replacement arrives unchipped.Update: I forgot to update my review. I contacted the seller and they very graciously sent a replacement of the entire set....I am very grateful! And I got them pretty quick too! I'm really enjoying them - very useful, handy, & sturdy! ?I purchased this to use with my Amazon Basics cast iron enameled cookware. Although I have many silicone utensils, this bamboo spurtle has quickly become my favorite & most used tool. It perfectly fits the contour of my Dutch oven & skillet. It’s comfortable to hold, is a great size, & is very well made. I absolutely enjoy cooking with it. This spurtle is beautifully simple, & reminiscent of something found in a kitchen from many generations ago.I wasn't quite sure of the Spurtles when I first got them, they were different. I started using them, at first for scrambled eggs in the morning. They worked okay, seemed a little awkward, but did what I needed them to. Then, I had made a large batch of stew. I used the largest of the Spurtles to stir and mix everything. It worked so much better than the spoon I normally used. I was impressed. I began using them for everything I was cooking and now, they are my favorite go-to kitchen tool! They feel good in your hands, are able to get in the edges of pans and bowls and clean up exceptionally well. I am really glad I gave these a try!I had seen the same type utensils used in a video and they were just as I expected them to be. They have already been valuable to stir very thick Bean Soup in my Slow Cooker to prevent the food scorching. As my Slow Cooker is teflon lined I was pleased the wood didn't scratch the finish. I am proud to have them in my kitchen and would buy them again if necessary.These are very nice but the 2nd to smallest one has a chip on it. When I went to touch it it chipped more. I now won't be able to use it being afraid it will chip into my food when mixing which is sad for the price I paid for. Other than that I really do like them. The seller of this product reached out to me right away which is very unexpected. Thank you so much!
