Use these regularly and really appreciate the light weight and sturdiness. The easily come apart for storage and travel.First of all if you're a normal kayaker this is fine, buy this paddle, it's cheap and it paddles. You couldn't really ask for more lol.That being said, I just took this out to practice rolls, and water gets stuck inside the paddle and cannot escape easily at all. I would expect this paddle to rust shut eventually. If you're never going to adjust or collapse the paddle this is fine, but if you do do that pretty often, be aware.Bought this to use with my first kayak purchase. I should have bought the longer one. This one I bought in 87 in is too short. I have a sit on top kayak and it made paddling very difficult. I would return it but the return shipping is almost 1/3 what I paid for it. I’d only get $20 back so not worth it to me to return it. Should have made sure of free returns before I clicked purchase! The quality of this is pretty good. I would order the longer size but they are the same price at Dicks and I have a coupon to use so I’ll just buy it there instead.This is perfect for me! And the color is gorgeous, though I’d say it’s definitely blue and not green. For reference, I’m a beginner-intermediate kayaker, all I do is go recreationally on lakes and rivers. I have a 10’ long 28” wide pelican kayak. I’m a 26 year old 5’5” female who’s semi athletic. This paddle weighs less than the paddle that came with my kayak. The length is longer than I can reach when I stand it up on end. This is a mid weight paddle, which I find useful on both my 10' flat water kayak and my 15.5' touring kayak. From the rubber drip guards to keep your hands from getting wet every stroke to the built in handle area, definatley a keeper. Conveniently breaks down with an easy to use push button lock into two trunk-friendly sections.If you've already got a paddle, this would even make a great all around spare!It's a paddleWhen paddles received, they were dinged up from shipping. However, they will anyways after some use. They work fine and I can't complain. Paddles used several times without any issue.
